Disability Access Statement

Accessibility Options

Knockhatch Adventure Park is open to everyone, and we want to let as many people as possible discover just how exciting a day out at our park can be. To that end, we have a number of accessibility options in place so that our disabled visitors can get just as much out of their day as everyone else. From the Owl Sanctuary Centre, the wide variety of farm animals, our shows and the fun of some of our attractions, Knockhatch Adventure Park is an experience that’s truly one of a kind - and we want everyone to enjoy it. The following access statements apply to the whole of Knockhatch Park (with the exception of the ski area.

Parking

Knockhatch Adventure Park has convenient disabled parking next to the entrance. This has tarmac and is clearly signed.

Access

Visitors’ carers are entitled to special concessionary rates for entrance to the park. There may be occasions when we restrict access to certain attractions for disabled visitors, for health and safety reasons ensuring that all of our visitors are safe during a visit. The access path into the park is surfaced with tarmac to aid wheelchair access. Many areas within the park have a tarmac surface. We have ramps throughout the park so that any visitors in wheelchairs can get around with ease. There are many benches and other forms of seating throughout Knockhatch Adventure Park for all of our visitors to use.

Disabled Toilets

The park has disabled toilets, available in the following locations:
1 - Main toilet block by the Bungee Trampoline
2 - Froggies indoor play area
3 - Cannon Arena indoor play area.

Changing Places Toilet

We have a Changing Places toilet facility located between the entrance and Froggies. A big shout out to Bidfood, our food suppliers who sponsored some of the installation. This toilet can be accessed using a key that you need to ask for at the entrance. In this toilet there is a hoist, height adjustable changing bed for an adult, height adjustable sink and a toilet.

Assistance
We have friendly members of staff on hand at all times to help out if necessary. We have dedicated staff members who are fully first aid trained, so any incidents will be dealt with quickly and professionally

Dogs

All registered service dogs are permitted throughout Knockhatch Adventure Park. The dog must be kept on a lead at all times and the owner of the dog must be fully in control of the dog. Sorry but no other dogs are permitted.
