More information about school and group visits to Knockhatch
A school or group trip to Knockhatch farm and adventure park is a fantastic way to open children's minds and to learning new things. Whether you’re a teacher, parent, group leader or guardian you will know that learning is all about discovery; and there’s no better place to discover new things than here at Knockhatch. We offer a range of learning activities which link in with the National Curriculum :-
- talks and displays given by our animal handlers
- hands-on activities with the opportunity to handle some of our smaller animals
Children will enjoy the chance to see animals up close in their different habitats, whilst at the same time being in a safe and managed environment, supervised by our staff. We also offer a range of fun outdoor and indoor activities so that your children can burn off some energy, hopefully wearing them out for the journey home!
With over 15 years' experience, we aim to make your visit as smooth as possible and offer flexibility to tailor the activities of your visit and according to your requirements.
We have the public liability insurance required by local authorities (£10,000,000).
We have facilities for children with disabilities and experienced staff on hand to keep a watchful eye.
We can cater for the appetites of youngsters with a full variety of refreshments around the Park both inside and outside although you are welcome to bring a picnic if you prefer. There are special discounted rates for school children we allow one teacher free with every six children.
We have completed a Risk Assessment, or alternatively you are welcome to come and see us before your visit. There are downloads available on this page.
