Kune Kune pigs, pronounced Cooney Cooney, are the smallest of the many breeds of pig. They are bred by the Maori people in New Zealand but did not originate there as there were originally no pigs in New Zealand but it is believed they may have started somewhere in the South Pacific
One of the main standards looked for in this breed is a good temperament and a pair of tassels under the chin, these are called "piri piri"
There are many variations in colour from black to cream, but we usually look for the spotted variation. They are very placid and happy creatures and love human company.
Pepper is our minature pig. Micro pigs are pigs that have been selectively bred over many generations to be smaller in adulthood than most other breeds of pig.
Do Micro Pigs make good pets?
Not if you are houseproud or take pride in a wonderful garden. They are intelligent and easy to house train but they are not really a suitable house pet unless you can give them a big run and a big muddy puddle.
